Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Answering The Antinomians
The word "antinomian" stems from the Greek words "anti" (against) and "nomos" (law) [i.e. lawless]. Matthew 7:23 uses a variation of this word (anomia) to describe workers of lawlessness. Below is a compilation of every verse of Scripture that I've ever heard used in debate/discussion by someone who believes that following the Torah (laws of the Old Testament, law of Moses, Yahuah's law) is not necessary in the life of a believer in Messiah. My hope and prayer is that these somewhat brief explanations will help others who are having a difficult time harmonizing verses in the New Testament with those found in the Old Testament.
