God Betrayed

God Betrayed: Separation of Church and State: The Biblical Principals and the American Application

by Jerald Finney

God Betrayed explains: (1) the biblical principles concerning government, church, and separation of church and state which one needs to know in order to understand the First Amendment and why it was adopted; (2) the history of the theological warfare in the colonies that eventually resulted in the adoption of the First Amendment; (3) how and why, soon after the ratification of the Constitution and the First Amendment, many churches subjected themselves to the state; (4) how the Supreme Court has used the First Amendment religion clause to remove God from practically all civil government affairs; (5) how civil government entices many churches to abandon their Supernatural and First Amendment freedoms; and (6) how churches in America can operate totally under God and free from any control by civil government.

The Most Important Thing

The Most Important Thing: Loving God and/or Winning Souls

by Jerald Finney

Christians will probably all agree that loving God is the most important thing for a church body. From God's perspective as revealed in His Word, what is the meaning of "love?" How can a church, by her actions, refute her proclamations of love for the Lord Jesus Christ? This booklet examines God's Word to provide answers to these very important questions.

Many churches, according to God's definition of love, show, by their actions and in spite of their declarations of love for God, that they do not love the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. "Yes," say some, "it is important to keep a church free from entanglement with the civil government, but it is not the most important thing. If it is not practical to disentangle a church, then just go on and do the best you can without rocking the boat because the most important thing is winning souls." As will be shown, regardless of the fact that a church actively wins souls by public ministry, evangelism, missions programs, etc., she falls short of God's definition of love when she subjects herself in any way to any entity other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

Render Unto God

Render unto God the Things that Are His: A Systematic Study of Romans 13 and Related Verses

by Jerald Finney

This book analyzes scriptures which are interpreted by some to mena that God desires Christians and churches to submit to civil government in all things or to submit to civil government in all things except perhaps the preaching of the gospel of salvation. The book analyzes Matthew 17.24-27 which deals with the miracle of the tribute money; Luke 20.25 (also recorded in Matthew 22.21 and Mark 12.17) in which Jesus proclaimed, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's;" Romans 13; I Peter 2.13; and I Timothy 2.1-6. What those scriptures teach concerning submission to civil government by individual Christians and churches is the subject of this book.

Separation of Church and State

Separation of Church and State: God's Churches: Spiritual or Legal Entities?

by Jerald Finney

This book is for pastors and Christians who deeply love the Lord and seek to please Him by organizing the churches they belong to according to Biblical principles. The Lord Jesus-whom the Bible likens to the Husband, Bridegroom, and Head of His churches-"loved the church and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word" (Eph. 5.25-26). Believers should follow the example of Paul who stated to the churches, "For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ" (2 Cor. 11.2). Read and learn principles Christians need to know in order to keep the churches they belong to pure and chaste.
